Debt collection

You did the work, delivered the goods or lent money, and you have not been paid. I help you recover what you are owed through a clear process, assessing costs, timing and the real chances of collection from the start.

Please note: consultations are held in Italian. If you do not speak Italian, you are welcome to bring an interpreter or a trusted person who speaks Italian.

Recovering a debt does not just mean obtaining a judgment: it means actually getting paid. That is why, before starting, I check the documents and, where possible, the debtor's assets, so as to choose the most effective route.

The process usually starts with a formal letter of demand, which in many cases is enough. If payment does not arrive, we proceed with a payment order (decreto ingiuntivo) and, when needed, with enforcement. I keep you updated at every step, with no surprises.

Frequently asked questions

Which documents do I need to recover a debt?

Invoices, contracts, accepted quotes, emails or messages, bank statements: anything proving that the debt exists and how much it is. Written evidence is essential to apply for a payment order.

By when must I act?

Under Italian law the ordinary limitation period is ten years, but for many debts it is shorter, for example five years or less. The sooner you act, the higher the chances of collection: it is best not to let too much time pass.

The first step is to talk about it

Tell me about your situation. I will reply personally and, if you wish, we will arrange a consultation at the office or by video call. You will always receive a written quote before any work begins.
